Who handles the data

ZiZiHub, at zizihub.com, is developed and maintained by Amata Software. Questions about data handling and removal requests go to abuse@zizihub.com.

What is stored when you upload

Uploading an image records the name assigned to the file, the moment of upload, the IP address the request came from, and a country code when an upstream service supplies one.

A separate log of file requests is kept: the time, the file name, the requesting IP, and the referring page address when the browser sends one.

No account is needed. If your browser was given an upload identifier, it is a random string, tied to no name, no email address and no other personal detail.

Why it is needed

The IP address and upload time are what make it possible to act on complaints about unlawful content and to keep offenders out. Without them a specific file cannot be traced to a report, nor a repeat upload prevented.

The request log is used to gauge load and spot abuse.

How long it is kept

Uploaded images are kept with no expiry, for as long as they break no rules and no removal request arrives.

Upload and request records live alongside the files and are removed with them.

Third-party services

The site pages run Google Analytics and Google AdSense. Both set their own cookies and receive technical details of the visit: the page address, device and browser type, and approximate location. The terms for those are set by Google, not by ZiZiHub.

Direct image links are served without any of this: opening a link to a file loads no third-party script.

Cookies

The only cookie the service sets itself is the upload identifier described above. The rest belong to Google Analytics and AdSense and can be managed in your browser settings.

Having data removed

The service has no user area, so you cannot delete an upload yourself. Write to abuse@zizihub.com with the link to the file and the image and its records will be removed.

The same address serves rights holders and public authorities.
